Welcome!

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contribution. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Take the time to edit your User page and let us know a little about yourself.

We are always looking for quality images for our articles. If you have any images which you can release freely, please upload them to Wiki Commons.

By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and vote pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (but you don't need to sign articles; the software makes sure you get the credit you deserve).

If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Zeimusu

Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints[edit]

Excellent NPOV solution. We could use more creative and capable editors like you! Thanks. Tom Haws 03:11, Apr 24, 2005 (UTC)

Welcome!! Noticed your edits on a number of Mormon/LDS related articles. I am a member of the Wikipedia:WikiProject Latter Day Saint movement which works on Mormon and LDS related topics. We have members from various branches of the Mormon movement as well as interested non-members. Please consider signing on. It's always nice to have new people jump in to our pet projects. I look forward to working with you. WBardwin 09:15, 25 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Wow! Are you a Roomba? You just keep doing cleanup everywhere I turn around. You have a quick grasp of the house style and the knack of bias avoidance. Keep it up! Tom Haws 05:32, Apr 26, 2005 (UTC)

Haha, a Roomba? I had to look that one up (on Wikipedia). Authr 10:47, 2005 Apr 26 (UTC)

Golden Plates[edit]

Please don't wince that I'm reverting you on this one. I think "point out" is a no-no for NPOV. Say, believe, counter, etc. are good. Claim, point out are bad. Tom Haws 19:49, Jun 7, 2005 (UTC)

I didn't think a simple comparison of "a block of solid gold with a stack of thin sheets of gold measuring the same size" was reasonably susceptible to differing opinions. But if so, "claim" is the best choice out of the options you present. Authr 02:13, 2005 Jun 8 (UTC)

WikiProject LDS[edit]

Hello! I noticed you were on the list of members in the LDS WikiProject, and I was wondering if you were still interested in helping out there. You see, over the past few months, it appears that it has slowly drifted into inactivity. But you CAN help. Please consider doing both of the following:

  1. Take ONE thing form the To-Do list and do it. Once you're done with it, remove it from the list, and from the<>{{Template:LDSprojectbox}}<>, so we know its done. Keep the page on your watchlist. We have a backlog going for more than half a year. Please help to work on it, and remove it.
  2. Vote on the LDSCOTF, and work on it!
  3. Tell your friends (esp. LDS friends, & esp. Wikipedian friends) about this WikiProject, and enocourage them to join (and be active).

Remember: your involvement in this WikiProject is just that - involvement! Please help us out.

(Note: I'm sending this out to everyone who's name was on the membership list, so I will NOT be watching this page for a response. If you want to contact me, do it on MY talk page, please.)

Thanks for all that you do -Trevdna 15:50, 11 January 2006 (UTC)

ArbCom elections are now open![edit]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
